Perron-Roettinger is hiring a project manager to join its team in Los Angeles.

This role is for a project manager to join the Interiors department of our studio on a contract basis. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing architectural interior design projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with the Creative Director, design team, and clients to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, an understanding of architectural interior design processes, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • project planning and coordination: develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation. Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met
  • client liaison: maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication regarding project status, changes, and approvals. Address client inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
  • team collaboration: work closely with designers, project AOR, contractors, and vendors to ensure all aspects of the project align with client expectations and creative design vision
  • budget and cost management: in collaboration with the client, oversee the project budget and manage cost control measures to ensure the project stays within financial constraints
  • site management: visit project sites as needed to monitor progress, quality, and ensure adherence to safety standards and design specifications as needed
  • vendor and contractor management: source and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely deliveries and quality workmanship, as needed per project.
  • problem solving: address any issues or challenges that arise during the project and propose effective solutions to keep the project on track
  • documentation and reporting: maintain comprehensive project documentation, including agreements, design specifications, schedules, and progress reporting for clients and internal teams
  • quality control: ensure that the final product meets or exceeds design expectations, quality standards, and client satisfaction as needed

Qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, project management, or a related field
  • proven experience (three plus years) in project management within the architecture or interior design industry
  • strong knowledge of interior design processes, materials and sourcing
  • excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, designers, contractors and vendors
  • proficient in Google Sheets, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite
  • experience in Rhino, AutoCAD, or other modeling software is a plus
  • strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
