Peter Mikic Studio is seeking a senior FF&E designer to join its team in London.

Peter Mikic Studio is looking for a senior interior/FF&E designer with experience in hospitality and luxury residential design to join their friendly studio in Shoreditch. You will be a  creative professional with a proven track record in luxury projects. If you thrive on meticulous attention to detail and are eager to contribute to unique, tailor-made interiors for high-profile clients, this long-term opportunity with significant growth potential is for you.

The role and responsibilities:

  • leading FF&E projects, providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • acting as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, and suppliers
  • managing client meetings with professionalism and confidence
  • coordinating contractors, suppliers, and services to ensure timely project completion
  • preparing compelling mood boards, fabric schemes, and presentations
  • sourcing exquisite furniture, antiques and artwork
  • designing bespoke furniture, including case goods, upholstery and lighting
  • developing detailed specifications and schedules
  • creating and managing project budgets effectively
  • overseeing the procurement process for all FF&E elements
  • upholding our studio’s values and ensuring a seamless client experience
  • setting project timelines and ensuring all deadlines are met

Key skills and attributes

We are looking for an experienced and passionate designer with the following:

  • a minimum of 12 years experience
  • at least eight years of five-star hospitality experience working for a reputable firm, covering all stages of a project from concept to site installation
  • a design related degree or relevant qualification
  • excellent knowledge of suppliers and materials (local and internationally)
  • excellent presentation skills
  • experience liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers
  • ability to work within given budgets
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • strong organisational and project management skills
  • proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • experience using Spec designer and Estimac is a plus
  • experience writing FF&E specifications
  • the ability to work confidently and discreetly with high-profile clients
  • a collaborative and leadership-oriented mindse
  • UK citizen or UK settled status
  • must be willing to travel abroad
