Peter Mikic Studio is seeking a senior FF&E designer to join its team in London.
Peter Mikic Studio is looking for a senior interior/FF&E designer with experience in hospitality and luxury residential design to join their friendly studio in Shoreditch. You will be a creative professional with a proven track record in luxury projects. The role and responsibilities:
- leading FF&E projects, providing guidance and support to junior team members
- acting as the primary point of contact for clients, project managers, and suppliers
- managing client meetings with professionalism and confidence
- coordinating contractors, suppliers, and services to ensure timely project completion
- preparing compelling mood boards, fabric schemes, and presentations
- sourcing exquisite furniture, antiques and artwork
- designing bespoke furniture, including case goods, upholstery and lighting
- developing detailed specifications and schedules
- creating and managing project budgets effectively
- overseeing the procurement process for all FF&E elements
- upholding our studio’s values and ensuring a seamless client experience
- setting project timelines and ensuring all deadlines are met
Key skills and attributes
We are looking for an experienced and passionate designer with the following:
- a minimum of 12 years experience
- at least eight years of five-star hospitality experience working for a reputable firm, covering all stages of a project from concept to site installation
- a design related degree or relevant qualification
- excellent knowledge of suppliers and materials (local and internationally)
- excellent presentation skills
- experience liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers
- ability to work within given budgets
- excellent organisational and communication skills
- strong organisational and project management skills
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite
- experience using Spec designer and Estimac is a plus
- experience writing FF&E specifications
- the ability to work confidently and discreetly with high-profile clients
- a collaborative and leadership-oriented mindse
- UK citizen or UK settled status
- must be willing to travel abroad
