Picture Plane is looking for a 3D visualiser to join its team in Dorset, UK.

Picture Plane creates compelling visualisations of unbuilt spaces. We experiment with digital painting, photo-real rendering and collage. Our aim is to produce work that has a deliberate aesthetic quality which embodies the character of the project and honours the suggestive nature of the design process. Our clients are some of the best architecture practices working today, including Níall McLaughlin, Allies and Morrison, Morris + Company, Heatherwick Studios, and O’Donnell + Tuomey. The studio was established in 2007 and has offices in London and Dorset.

Ideal applicants should have a good understanding of 3D space as material, atmosphere, light and narrative. Applicants should show a creative passion for architectural representation through drawing, photography, collage and animation. The role also requires an ability to run projects, communicate with clients and manage tasks individually or as part of a team.


  • proficiency in 3ds Max, V-Ray, and Photoshop
  • knowledge of Corona, After Effects and Nuke are desirable, but not essential
  • minimum of one years’ work experience in a similar environment

The studio is based in a converted barn on a beautiful 60-acre farm surrounded by fields where we are planning to construct a number of self-built projects which will eventually provide a self-supporting environment.
