We are delighted to announce a vacancy for a receptionist and studio assistant at our fast-paced studio.
About us
Piercy&Company is a studio of around 70 architects, interior designers and researchers, fueled by a shared passion for materials, form, technology and craft. We are based out of a studio and workshop in London where interdisciplinary teams work together in a collaborative ‘design house’ model. The studio is a place for exchange, active production and the testing of ideas, forms and materials. Our studio support team works with matched energy and attentiveness to keep everything running smoothly and to ensure the visitor experience is seamless
About the role
We’re looking for an individual with a sparky, outgoing, and energetic personality who has excellent attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and the initiative to help maintain and enhance our studio environment.
Our ideal candidate will build relationships across the studio, working with both internal and external stakeholders. An interest or background in arts and design, and previous front-of-house experience would be preferred. While there is plenty of room to make the role your own, you’ll always have support when needed.
Good written skills, friendly phone manner, attention to detail and an enthusiastic demeanour are a must.
Location: this is an in-person position based at our Camden studio, Monday – Friday full time.
Key responsibilities
Front of house and visitor experience:
- welcoming visitors to the studio
- answering and transferring incoming calls
- managing incoming and outgoing post and overseeing deliveries
Studio:
- keeping the studio presentable, and clear of clutter
- providing refreshments for meetings and ensuring meeting rooms are prepared and cleared after use
- managing meeting room calendars and scheduling meetings
- booking couriers, taxis, and train travel as required
- running errands as needed (supply runs, mail, local collections etc)
- assisting in keeping kitchen areas clear and stocked
- ordering workshop materials
- supporting facilities-related tasks
Senior team support:
- assisting with diary management for the leadership team
- updating and producing documents and registers
- assisting with external event planning
- providing administrative support to project teams, including printing, binding, and assisting with studio events such as lunches, breakfasts, and drinks functions
Working closely with our Head of Operations and our Studio Manager, you’ll play a big part in the culture and smooth running of our exciting studio.
