Pluck Kitchens celebrates beautiful materials and practical design. Our bespoke furniture and cabinetry is pared back and clutter-free, a style that works in period and contemporary homes. We enable our clients to create delicious combinations drawn from our assortment of colours and woods. We design and craft our cabinetry and furniture to order, under one roof in South West London. Our projects are UK-wide and beyond.

Job description

This is a role that requires a mix of creative flair, practical space planning and excellent communication. You will be assisting the design team to interpret the plans and desires of our clients and translate them into beautiful, practical kitchen designs. Presenting these concepts in 2D drawings and 3D visuals.

As part of the design team, you will also be meeting and liaising with clients in person, on email and over the phone.

Responsibilities the role will include:

  • assisting in the design of a Pluck kitchen from both an aesthetic and functional point of view
  • using CAD software to design and present each project
  • working with the design team to clients feel welcome in the showroom and to document their kitchen wants and needs
  • participating in ongoing training and professional development to improve skills and kitchen design knowledge
  • helping with keeping the showroom looking as good and inviting as possible, being mindful of the experience of the clients coming to visit
  • assisting in other duties as needed, eg: contacting suppliers, site visits and arranging and posting samples
  • weekend and evening availability is required depending on client appointments.

Experience and abilities we would like you to have:

  • experience in a relevant field or be able to show a passion for interiors and kitchen design
  • excellent CAD skills in 2D drawing and preferably 3D rendering
  • being fast and accurate and able to produce drawing packs to a high standard
  • meticulous attention to detail and an eye for good design
  • fantastic communication skills
  • personable and approachable in both client-facing and internal capacities
  • excellent spoken and written English
  • an ongoing enthusiasm for developing skills and acquiring further knowledge
  • a wider interest in art, craft and design

The position is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, with some weekend and evening appointments. Start date is from as soon as viable.

The position is based at our studio, showroom and workshops in Brixton, London.

The salary starts from £28,000 and upwards, depending on experience and the right candidate.
