Senior architect/associate architect

Project London is hiring a senior architect to join its team in London.

We are an award-winning architecture, interior design and project management studio specialising in high-end residential projects. From concept to completion, we deliver exceptional results for discerning clients. With an exciting pipeline of projects, we are seeking an experienced and driven senior architect to help lead our team at this pivotal time.

About you

You are a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in high-end residential architecture. Passionate about design, you have the expertise to lead projects confidently from concept to delivery while inspiring and managing a team. You balance creative vision with strong commercial awareness, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

  • prepare client presentation documentation and design packages
  • manage project timelines and budgets efficiently
  • maintain an eye on project profitability and ensure financial targets are met
  • lead projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring exceptional quality at every phase
  • confidently present concepts to colleagues, clients and professional teams
  • communicate clearly with clients, suppliers and the internal design team
  • oversee and mentor junior team members, managing capacity and workflow
  • identify opportunities to implement or enhance processes that improve efficiency and profitability
  • represent the company professionally and uphold our high standards

Required qualifications and skills

  • a degree in architecture
  • at least eight years of post-degree industry experience, ideally in high-end residential projects
  • extensive experience across all RIBA stages
  • proven ability to lead project teams and manage projects on-site, including contract administration
  • proficiency in Vectorworks (2D), Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office
  • strong creative, organisational and communication skills
  • fluent in written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
  • in-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and UK-based contract administration
  • commercial awareness with the ability to balance design quality with project profitability
  • process-driven with a keen eye for detail
