Rees Architects is looking for a Part 2/Part 3 architect to join its team in London.

Rees Architects is a design-oriented practice, working mainly in the private residential sector on well-refined refurbishments, extensions, retrofit basements and new builds in and around London, working closely with domestic clients. Rees Architects specialises in providing a full design and management service for clients.

Rees Architects is looking for an experienced Part 2 or newly qualified Part 3 architect who is proficient in producing concept and planning packages and assisting the project architect in producing detailed drawing packs for tender/construction. The candidate must be able to demonstrate their experience in domestic residential projects in London, Ideally, they would have experience working with London Victorian and Georgian properties.

Main skills/qualifications:

• experienced Part 2 or newly qualified Part 3 ARB qualified
• AutoCAD is essential
• SketchUp is essential
• InDesign
• Photoshop
• Enscape
• hand sketching and model making desirable

Experience:

• working on private, residential projects – especially RIBA Stages 1-4
• UK experience – essential
• joinery and furniture design – desirable
• interior design/architecture – desirable
• experiences with listed buildings and conservation areas – desirable
• knowledge of UK building regulations

Qualities:

• strong work ethic, with the ability to manage your own time
• teamwork and the ability to take instructions is essential
• working closely with clients and keeping them updated with project progress
• friendly and personable
• general interest in construction processes
