The role
We are currently looking for an experienced project architect to join our creative and dynamic team.
The right character
Working mainly on high-end residential projects, you will be a creative force with a genuine flair for and interest in design.
You should also possess:
- a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD
- an interest in both new builds and historic buildings
- willingness to engage in all parts of the design and documentation process
- superior communication and organisational skills
- experience with detailed design, or a strong desire to learn
- good time management will be essential
You will:
- develop and manage the conceptual and detailed design of our projects
- produce drawings and visualisations to capture and communicate the design intent
- participate in regular design workshops with clients
- undertake the production of information for tender purposes and play an active role in negotiations with contractors
- source and specify furniture and finishes
- work alongside suppliers, fabricators and manufacturers to procure specialist items
- work closely with other consultants to coordinate pre-construction information
- undertake regular site visits during construction
Requirements:
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required. SketchUp, Rhino and V-Ray skills are an advantage
- excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- experience on projects from concept design through to final build and fit-out
