We are currently looking for a full-time bathroom design and sales consultant to join our talented team at our Nottingham showroom. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a premium brand where creativity, customer experience, and excellence are at the heart of everything we do.

Role overview

This role is perfect for a design professional who thrives in a client-focused, consultative sales environment. We’re looking for someone with a background in interior design, a strong track record in sales, and a passion for delivering beautifully tailored spaces, as you will be the face for our brand.

Proficiency in Virtual Worlds or similar CAD planning software is highly valued, as you’ll be creating detailed, 3D visualisations that bring clients’ dream bathrooms to life. Your ability to interpret their vision and translate it into elegant, functional designs is key to success in this role.

To excel, you’ll need to be self-motivated, meticulously detail-oriented, and confident in guiding clients through both creative and technical aspects of the design journey. Previous experience in the bathroom or high-end interiors industry will be a distinct advantage.

Key responsibilities

As a bathroom design and sales consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional showroom experience while guiding clients through every stage of their bathroom design journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • providing a warm, professional welcome to all clients and ensuring a premium showroom experience from first interaction to final handover
  • creating and maintaining visually inspiring showroom displays that reflect current trends and our brand’s design standards
  • taking time to understand each client’s individual needs, preferences, and lifestyle to create bespoke design solutions
  • assisting clients with the selection and coordination of design elements, from layout and product specification to finishes and fittings
  • producing and presenting compelling, detailed design proposals using Virtual Worlds
  • delivering exceptional service and building trusted, long-term relationships with clients
  • handle after-sales support with professionalism and efficiency
  • driving sales and creating project pipelines by identifying and converting opportunities from showroom visitors, enquiries, and referrals
  • achieve individual and team sales targets
  • promoting the Ripples’ full design service by following the sales process, this includes arranging home visits, preparing tailored designs and quotations, and confidently presenting and closing sales
  • managing client accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all records, proposals, and orders using the company’s digital tools to manage customer information
  • build strong relationships with clients, architects, and interior designers
  • work collaboratively with the logistics and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • staying current with emerging design trends, products, and innovations by attending company designers’ day, trade shows, and supplier training sessions
  • contributing to a collaborative team environment by supporting the development and mentorship of junior consultants, where required

 Essential skills and experience

We’re looking for a design professional who can confidently inspire and influence, turning client visions into beautifully crafted realities. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative flair, technical expertise, and commercial acumen.

Key requirements include:

  • proficiency in Virtual Worlds (or similar CAD software) is essential; this is your primary tool for translating concepts into compelling, interactive design presentations
  • exceptional communication and influencing skills, you must be able to build rapport quickly, gain client trust, and articulate design ideas with clarity and confidence
  • a proven background in bathroom, kitchen, or interior design and sales (minimum two years preferred), ideally within a premium or luxury environment
  • a strong grasp of spatial planning and the technical requirements of bathroom design
  • demonstrated success in a client-facing sales environment, with a consultative, solution-led approach
  • a keen eye for detail and an innate understanding of high-quality design and aesthetics
  • self-motivated and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with ease

 Desirable attributes:

  • background or education in interior design
  • knowledge of premium or luxury brands and customer expectations
  • comfortable using digital tools to manage customer information
  • a creative mindset combined with commercial acumen
