Project architect
at Rise Design Studio
Rise Design Studio is seeking a project architect to join its team in London.
We’re looking for a project architect with purpose.
At Rise Design Studio, we don’t just design buildings. We craft low-energy, emotionally intelligent architecture rooted in people and place. Our projects range from homes that quietly tread lightly on the earth, to community spaces that hum with energy and meaning.
We’re looking for a project architect who wants to make work that matters.
You’ll help shape and deliver a number of high-end residential, hospitality, and educational projects across London, Ireland, and Spain – and yes, you’ll be involved at every stage, from concept through to completion. This is a role for someone who relishes responsibility but also believes in collaboration. Someone who’s equal parts visionary and doer.
We’re not a large practice. And that’s the point. Here, you’ll be close to the ideas, the materials, the clients – and the impact.
What we’re looking for:
- you’re RIBA Part 3 qualified with at least 5 years post-registration experience in the UK
- you’ve run projects across all RIBA Work Stages, and thrive on site as much as you do in front of a blank page
- you’re used to juggling multiple projects and teams with a calm, clear head
- you’ve worked in design-led studios, and it shows in your thinking and execution
- you understand the poetry in detailing—and care deeply about the way materials meet
- you can lead clients with confidence and kindness
- you’re fluent in ArchiCAD (intermediate level is fine), and bonus points if you’re comfortable with Twinmotion, Enscape or Lumion
- you know your way around the Adobe Suite and the usual office tools
- we’re especially interested in people who geek out on fabrication techniques, enjoy bridging the digital with the handmade, and see technology as a tool – not a crutch
What we offer:
- a competitive salary, with regular reviews
- Christmas break leave, because rest matters
- company pension scheme
- a real chance to grow – we want this to be a long-term move
- ongoing professional development and a studio culture that values your curiosity
- frequent studio outings – from cultural events to mountainside hikes
- hybrid working available after probation
We believe that great design comes from great people, and we want our team to reflect the diverse world we’re designing for. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and walks of life.
