RISE Design Studio is seeking a talented project architect to join its team in London responsible for the design, development and build on a number of high-end residential, hospitality and educational projects in London, Ireland and Spain.

RISE Design Studio is a small and ambitious architectural and design studio based in the heart of Queen’s Park, London. Formed in 2012, our work is informed by an awareness of place and context, craft and materiality, local climate, inclusion of sustainability, a consideration of form, and an understanding of the simplicity and quality of well-made buildings. We work closely with our clients to develop and produce creative architectural solutions with genuine honesty and care.

Our team needs people who want to join an ambitious studio that continuously pushes the boundaries of architecture and sustainable centric design.

We are a small and young but growing architectural and design studio formed in 2012, working out of a studio space in the heart of Queen’s Park, London. We work closely with our clients to develop and produce creative architectural solutions with genuine honesty and care.

Applicants should have at least five years’ post ARB registration experience in the UK. The applicant will possess a strong aptitude for working in teams and will be skilled in autonomously organising and managing projects. A high level of organisation, discipline and attention to detail are in your DNA. As well as having a proactive approach to material research and design development. A keen interest and knowledge in fabrication techniques that binds both digital manufacture and the craft of architecture is welcomed.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who will hit the ground running and thrives in a fast-paced, ambitious environment whilst having a deep passion for innovative design. This is someone who possesses the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance. They must be highly productive, efficient and have the ability to prioritise tasks.

We are looking for someone who is obsessed with designing award winning projects for our clients with the ability to think conceptually and at detail level.

Key responsibilities:

  • manage multiple projects at same time, across all RIBA Stages autonomously
  • compile reports throughout projects as required
  • manage clients
  • liaise and coordinate all consultants and third party stakeholders
  • manage resources

Qualifications and skills:

  • RIBA Part 1, 2 and 3 qualified with minimum five years’ post-qualification
  • experience in working in design-led architectural practices
  • experience in coordination of bespoke high level interiors and finishes
  • advanced ArchiCAD user – essential
  • visualisations skills using Twinmotion, Lumion or Enscape an advantage
  • proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft/Open Office
  • excellent technical drawing skills
  • strong ability to communicate the design verbally and visually to multiple parties
  • excellent architectural design and graphic communication skills are essential
  • strong understanding of Building Regulations
  • proven track record of managing and leading projects at all RIBA Stages
  • ability to take ownership and responsibility of projects
  • understanding of Sustainable design, including MVHR, Airtightness and Heat Pump coordination
  • proactive and flexible attitude, with a strong focus working on completing tasks
  • have the right to work in the UK and currently based in London
