RML Architecture is hiring an architectural technician to join its team in Hove, UK.

RMLA is an architecture practice specialising in commercial retail projects. Based in the vibrant city of Brighton & Hove, we work closely with our clients throughout the construction process, providing detailed design information and compliance services.

As our client base grows, we’re looking to expand our hardworking and friendly team.

The role

We’re seeking an Architectural Technician with a passion for producing high quality technical drawings and technical information from concept to completion, for all RIBA stages.

This is a full-time, freelance contract for 6-months, with the potential to become a permanent role. Rate: £16 to £22 per hour, dependent on skills and experience.

You’ll be responsible for:

• preparing detailed technical and construction drawing packs using AutoCAD (2D)
• coordinating design team and sub-contractor information

What we’re looking for:

• advanced skills in AutoCAD (2D windows) are essential
• at least two years’ experience in a UK architectural practice, ideally in the commercial sector
• a degree in architecture, architectural technology or equivalent professional experience
• exceptional attention to detail
• an understanding of building products, construction details, and compliance standards, including Building Regulations and British standards
