Rolfe Judd Architecture is recruiting for an architectural technologist to join its team in London.

We are an award-winning architectural practice based in London, renowned for our high-quality architecture, working on a broad range of projects across sectors including residential, commercial and urban regeneration.

We are seeking to recruit an architectural technologist to join our London studio to work on our portfolio of exciting, large-scale, mixed-use developments in the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded individual with proven technical ability delivering high-quality buildings across a range of project scales and complexities, gained in previous UK architectural practice, to assist with the technical design elements of our projects, producing coordinated, efficient and compliant technical design solutions that are delivered to the standards to which we aspire.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • a degree or equivalent qualification in architectural technology or a related field (CIAT certified desirable)
  • a minimum of three years’ experience working in the UK residential and/or commercial sectors, in a similar role
  • proficiency in working with AutoCAD and/or Revit with a solid technical grounding
  • a well-rounded individual with the ability to produce detailed, compliant drawing packages through RIBA stages 3 to 5, demonstrating a flexible all-round skill set capable of producing and managing early-stage information in addition to more detailed stages
  • a thorough understanding of UK building regulations, technical design standards and legislation, as well as the ability to obtain and use new materials and embrace modern methods of construction
  • a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, as well as liaising effectively with consultants, clients and contractors both in person and remotely
  • possess the ability to review and coordinate incoming technical information and resolve issues accordingly
  • ensure that all work is prepared in accordance with the practice’s standards and protocols
  • previous specification writing experience and a knowledge of NBS Chorus would be desirable
  • present a portfolio of work that can clearly demonstrates the qualities in a candidate that we are seeking
  • exceptional organisational, verbal and written communication skills with a fluency in English
  • suitable professional experience with large-scale residential and/or commercial projects would be beneficial
