About the role

Rolfe Judd is seeking to recruit an exceptional project architect (RIBA Part 3 or equivalent), to join our London studio to work on our portfolio of exciting, large-scale, residential developments in the UK. The successful candidate must have proven experience in designing and delivering high-quality residential buildings across a range of project scales and complexities through RIBA Stages 1-4, with impeccable design ability, strong technical knowledge and communication skills being crucial for this role.

You should be confident dealing with clients and consultant teams, be a proactive project leader with a collaborative mindset, as well as having an in-depth understanding of planning policy, technical design standards and legislation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong candidate with impeccable design and technical ability, communication and organisational skills, who can successfully lead a project and motivate a team of architects and assistants.

Requirements:

  • three to five years’ post Part 3 (ARB registered) UK work experience
  • experience in the day-to-day running of large-scale, complex residential buildings and mixed-use projects
  • strength in developing initial design concepts and strategies through to delivering planning applications and tender packages, with a proven experience in external detailing and ability to coordinate packages
  • exceptional project management qualities, with the ability to manage day-to-day design decisions, compliance with best practice design standards and statutory regulations, as well as communication with client and consultant teams
  • ability to work effectively with others to help achieve the best solution for the project team, the wider design team and the client
  • an in-depth understanding of UK planning policy, building regulations, technical design standards and legislation
  • good knowledge of working with both Revit and AutoCAD
  • possess a portfolio of work that can clearly demonstrate the qualities of a candidate that we are seeking
  • be able to demonstrate competence through a register of Continued Professional Development (CPD) in line with the Building Safety Act
  • exceptional organisational, verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English
