Rolfe Judd Architecture is seeking an exceptional senior architect to join its team in London.

About the role

Rolfe Judd is an award-winning architectural practice renowned for our high-quality architecture, working on a broad range of projects across sectors including residential, commercial and urban regeneration.

Rolfe Judd is seeking to recruit an exceptional senior architect (RIBA Part 3 or equivalent), to join our London studio to work on our portfolio of exciting, large-scale, mixed-use developments in the UK. This is a brilliant opportunity for a highly motivated individual with excellent design, technical and communication skills gained in previous UK architectural practice.

The successful candidate must have proven experience of delivering high-quality buildings across a range of project scales and complexities, both new-build and working with historic buildings. For this role, strong leadership, communication skills, impeccable design ability and delivery experience are crucial. Confident in dealing with clients and contractor teams, you will be a proactive team player with a collaborative mindset, as well as an in-depth understanding of technical design standards and legislation, you will be proficient in Revit and a strong communicator both visually and verbally.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong candidate with impeccable design and technical ability, communication and organisational skills, who can successfully lead and motivate a team of architects and assistants.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• five or more years post Part 3 (ARB registered) UK work experience, with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role
• experience in delivering high-quality buildings across a range of project scales and complexities, both new-build and working with historic and/or listed buildings
• strength in developing initial design concepts and strategies through to delivering drawing and specification packages, with a proven experience in detailing and ability to coordinate construction packages
• exceptional leadership qualities through taking initiative, problem-solving, showing assertiveness and enthusiasm, with the ability to manage, coordinate and prioritise resources, as well as communicate with client and construction teams
• ability to work effectively with others to help achieve the best solution for the project team, the wider design team and the client
• an in-depth understanding of UK planning policy, building regulations, technical design standards and legislation
• proficiency in working with Revit and AutoCAD
• a portfolio of work that can clearly demonstrate the qualities of a candidate that we are seeking
• exceptional organisational, verbal and written communication skills with a fluency in English
• ability to demonstrate continued professional development through a log of CPD in line with ARB and RIBA requirements
