Role overview

The Logistics team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented showroom orders assistant to support the purchasing and logistics manager. This role provides valuable experience and opportunities for growth within the design industry, specifically in the purchasing and logistics team. As a junior purchasing and logistics assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting retail sales orders, stock management, supplier communication, stock takes and warehouse control. By closely assisting the manager with various tasks, you will gain practical skills and insights, paving the way for career advancement within the team.

Contract type: permanent
Hours: full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. 
Location: our showroom – 76 to 84 Pimlico Road, London, SW1W 8PL
Experience required: zero to two years’

Key responsibilities:

  • report to the purchasing and logistics manager
  • develop and maintain strong relationships with workshops and the Rose Uniacke sales teams
  • accurately maintain the stock database and manage key documentation for purchase orders
  • generate orders based on sales team directions and send them to the workshops
  • gather and record all specifications for client orders from the sales team to generate manufacturing orders
  • regularly update the sales team on the status of their orders and organise the delivery of Rose Uniacke pieces to clients upon completion
  • ensure the accurate and timely completion of bespoke orders by monitoring their progress through workshops, adjusting production schedules as needed to meet planned completion dates
  • coordinate with couriers and workshops to ensure efficient delivery and production processes.

Skills and qualities required/preferred

  • highly organised and efficient with proactive administration skills and a keen eye for details
  • excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with different teams across the business
  • confident in building relationships with suppliers and warehouse partners
  • competence in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
