Job description

The FF&E designer is responsible for managing the FF&E aspect of projects, liaising with the internal and external teams to ensure that they are delivered on time, in budget and to an exceptional standard. International travel is an essential part of this role. The role will also require you to oversee and mentor junior team members.

Working with the full project team and shipyard to ensure the successful on-board implementation and installation of all FF&E items.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • three to five plus years’ experience of FF&E design for luxury yachts or high end residential projects, with experience of the FF&E design and curation process from concept to completion
  • keen interest in sustainable design practices and materials that result in a positive social and environmental impact
  • extensive knowledge of unique suppliers, both in the UK and overseas
  • the ability to work as part of a team and have brilliant interpersonal skills
  • strong knowledge of materials and finishes and their implementation on board a yacht
  • excellent communication skills and eloquence to convey ideas with curated presentations, themes and schemes etc
  • strong IT skills: InDesign, Photoshop, AutoCAD, MS Office, Excel
  • excellent time management skills
