Job description
The senior FF&E designer is accountable for managing multiple FF&E projects, liaising with the internal and external teams to ensure that they are delivered on time, on budget and to an exceptional standard.
This will involve visiting our global client base and shipyards, therefore being willing and able to travel internationally is an essential part of this role.
The senior FF&E designer will be a specialist in their field with considerable project and industry experience. They contribute to the wider development of the department by working with the head of interiors and other senior team members.
They are responsible for supporting the junior and midweight department members as a role model and mentor.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- over 10 years experience of delivering multiple luxury yacht and/or high end residential projects, with extensive experience of the FF&E design and curation process from concept to completion
- keen interest in sustainable design practices and materials that result in a positive social and environmental impact
- extensive knowledge of unique suppliers, both in the UK and overseas
- the ability to lead and manage a project team brilliantly
- excellent communication skills and eloquence to convey ideas with curated presentations, themes and schemes etc
- strong IT skills: InDesign, Photoshop, AutoCAD, MS Office, Excel
- excellent time management skills
