RWD is looking for a senior interior designer – yacht design to join its team in New Forest, UK.
RWD are seeking a senior interior designer! As a fast-paced design studio, we are looking for someone who is passionate about luxury yacht design, integrates well within the team and for whom quality of work is everything. The successful candidate will need to be adaptable and enthusiastic to play a significant role in our busy and unique studio. The studio is idyllically located in the New Forest for a great life/work balance. There may be frequent international travel to visit our global client base and shipyards.
Working with the creative collective, the senior interior designer will lead projects and manage through all 2D and 3D works, including visualisation and rendering. Joining each project at an early stage, you’ll work closely
to ensure full understanding of each design brief and creatively lead each project to successful completion.
A key role within the organisation, duties will include, but not be limited to:
- project leadership in design and creativity
- concept design ideation and development
- management of a design team to create GAs, Renderings and 2D production drawings
- close collaboration with project management to provide design information in a timely and efficient manner
- representation at client and shipyard meetings
The ideal candidate for this role will be an established creative, with 10-15+ years’ experience in interior design in either yacht or very high end residential interiors. Outgoing and passionate about what you do, you
will be comfortable working closely with clients and also managing junior team members. Above all, your clients’ needs must be your highest priority and an ability to uphold your project brief at all time will be key.
