Sedilia is recruiting a sales manager to join its team in London.

Sedilia has been creating exacting upholstered furniture since 1998. We are the quiet force behind some of the interior sector’s most acclaimed designs and designers/makers of our own expanding Sedilia collection.

You will join a small, creative office team and will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact.

The position is based at our expansive light-filled premises a stone’s throw from Clapham Common in South London and is available with an immediate start.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity as Sedilia’s first sales role which is being created to support the significant growth of the Sedilia collection over the last three years.

The role will involve:

  • working closely with Sedilia’s director and head of collection to implement strategies to drive sales for the Sedilia collection
  • communicating an in-depth knowledge of Sedilia’s brand values and technical product information to new clients
  • representing Sedilia at annual events and trade shows
  • building upon existing relationships with valued clients and pro-actively seeking new customers. When necessary, traveling to meet and present to design studios
  • holding Sedilia collection viewings at Sedilia workshop/studio space
  • issuing quotes and following up to track order progress. Setting up orders within the Sedilia system
  • working with the Sedilia design team to clearly communicate clients’ requests for bespoke variations of collection designs
  • assisting with PR campaigns, press releases and marketing activities
  • assist the Sedilia collection team with customer order management, logistics and administration

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a passion for working in a unique, creative environment where the furniture is designed and handmade under one roof within a lively central London workshop
  • a passion for beautifully crafted furniture.
  • at least four plus years’ experience working in a sales position within the interior design/luxury product industry
  • excellent communication and customer service skills with a pro-active, energetic and friendly approach
  • enthusiasm and willingness to work within a small and busy team, with the ability to work independently and manage own time and priorities
  • have solid multitasking and organisational skills, which are essential
  • have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language
  • be proficient in Apple Mac and the Microsoft office suite

General employment terms:

  • this will be a full-time role of 40 hours per week over five days, Monday – Friday
  • flexible working week combining time in the Sedilia studio, meetings outside of the studio and working from home
  • competitive salary based on experience
