Shacklewell Architects is hiring an experienced Part 3 architect to join its team in London.
Experienced Part 3 architect with at least three year’s post qualification experience.
Who we are:
- Shacklewell Architects is a rapidly growing practice with projects based on our home turf of North East London and further afield
- our projects are entirely residential, specialising in Victorian and early 20th Century homes
- we have a small permanent team combined with a network of experts who we work with to deliver different stages of work
Abilities we’re looking for:
- we are looking for a gem of a person with substantial experience working on residential projects
- you will have a tangible impact on how our small practice operates and grows, sharing in the rewards that a growing practice can bring
- you need the ability to run all stages of a project, dealing with client enquiries and coordinating with external consultants
- we like to design things that get built – so you need to combine a vivid imagination with the realities of client needs, planning and budget constraints
- you need the ability to produce detailed drawings for building regulations and construction purposes
- and the ability to produce tender packages; and be our clients trusted expert in bringing builders on site
Personal attributes:
- a people person who can be trusted with our most valuable asset (customers!). Our clients are homeowners and place a huge amount of faith in us. We care for our clients, take them on a journey with a few rocky paths along the way and guide them through each stage. This requires empathy, understanding, organisation and tenacity
- you need to have a keen eye for detail in drawings, written communications and everything else
- fully aware of the legal, financial and time constraints of the projects you manage
- strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- resilience and a sense of humour always helps
