County Cork, Ireland
Studio and operations manager
at Simon Ronan Landscape Architects
Simon Ronan Landscape Architects is hiring a studio and operations manager to join its team remotely or West Cork, Ireland.
Studio and operations manager with business development support (part-time).
Simon Ronan Landscape Architect (SRLA) is an award-winning landscape architecture studio based in Ireland working on high-end hospitality, regenerative landscapes, public realm, and international projects – from Irish coastal towns to large-scale hotel landscapes in the Middle East and Europe.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a studio and operations manager to help run the practice.
This is a pivotal role for someone who genuinely cares about the quality and culture of a design studio, is proactive, highly organised, and excited to be part of a small but ambitious and values-driven team.
The role includes:
- studio operations – running the day-to-day of SRLA (managing staff admin, onboarding, holidays, contracts, team workflows, internal systems, posting job adverts for the studio)
- business development support – tracking leads, helping with client follow-ups, researching target clients and architects, identifying awards/competitions/PR opportunities
- process optimisation – helping improve how we manage projects, exploring use of AI and better tools
- manage the SRLA Notion hub and staff handbook
- optional/bonus – helping coordinate bid submissions (but the main bid production is handled by other staff and a future dedicated role)
You’ll suit this role if you:
- are a natural organiser and manager of people and processes
- enjoy working in a creative environment with designers and architects
- are proactive, positive, and want to contribute to the studio’s growth
- are curious about AI and how it can improve creative workflows
- have a good grasp of professional business communications
- have some familiarity with (or interest in learning) landscape/architecture industry processes (bids, fees, contracts etc.)
- experience with MS suite essential
- experience with InDesign & Notion an advantage
The offer:
- a key role in an ambitious design-led practice with a strong sustainability and regenerative mission
- flexibility – ideally Ireland-based with hybrid working (we are mostly remote but with regular in-person sessions)
- opportunity to shape how the studio operates and grows internationally.
- opportunity to grow into a Directorship role in the future
- salary based on experience, with future scope to grow the role
- we operate a hybrid/remote studio so are flexible on working arrangements however preference would be given to local candidates (West Cork, Ireland)
If this sounds like you – or if you know someone who would be great – we’d love to hear from you.
