Simpson Studio is seeking an architect with three to five years’ experience to join its team in London.
Simpson Studio is an award-winning British design house with a multidisciplinary approach. Creating better space through the complete coordination of architecture, interiors and furniture design.
With a base in both London and Edinburgh, the studio works on residential and commercial high-end projects across the UK. The studio oversees all design elements in-house, making for a particularly joined up process which delivers beautiful results. The studio also has its own retail line and is currently working on its first in-house development project.
As the studio heads towards its 12th year with big plans for the future, we are looking for a highly skilled architect to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end residential projects. The candidate should be hands-on, flexible and reliable with the ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload.
We are looking for someone who:
- has a minimum of three years’ project running experience as an architect in the UK through all RIBA work stages 0 to 6
- is experienced in liaising with clients and consultants
- is organised, proactive and self-motivated
- has JCT contract experience
- has a good knowledge of construction detailing and regulations
- has good time management skills
- has excellent spoken and written English
- excellent communication skills, combining creativity and strategic thinking with attention to detail
- has an eye and a love for design
- has the confidence to share and explore ideas

Working from home – the position will require a minimum of three days working from the office with the ability for the remaining days to be worked remotely.
Flexible working – we operate flexible working hours, with an eight hour day which can be worked between the hours of 7am and 7pm, with core hours between 10am and 4pm. The position is advertised as full-time, although the studio is happy to consider applicants with a preference or requirement for a part-time role.
