Simpson Studio Architects is looking for a recently qualified architect/experienced Part-II to join its team in London.

Simpson Studio Architects is an exciting young practice located in central London. Established in 2013 the practice has a broad portfolio of projects, working on high-end residential and commercial architecture, as well as vehicle, product and furniture design, in collaboration with Simpson & Sand. Simpson Studio Architects is also part of the Practice Network for the London School of Architecture working to explore the full extent of Architecture in today’s changing world.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and driven newly qualified architect/experienced Part-II to help with the growing workload in our busy London studio. Located within Somerset House on the Strand, we sit within a creative co-working space with full workshop facilities where making, exploring materials, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping are inherent in our development and approach.

We are looking for someone who:

– is passionate and enthusiastic about architecture and design
– has an eye and a love for detail and materials
– is excited by making and working with materials
– has the confidence to share and explore ideas
– is experienced in liaising with clients and consultants
– is organised and pro-active
– has project experience through all RIBA work stages
– has good spoken and written English
– has good free hand drawing skills and a working knowledge of Vectorworks.

Software skills required:

– Vectorworks
– Adobe Indesign
– Adobe Photoshop
– Adobe illustrator
– SketchUp
– Microsoft Office

Our ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate a creative drive, have experience in detail drawing packages, a knowledge of UK building regulations, and an ability to maintain design intent and quality through realising details in construction and on site. Further to this we are looking for someone who has a passion for making, enjoys product and furniture design, and has the skills and drive to develop the knowledge to deliver new and diverse commissions, across the whole spectrum of architecture and design.
