Simpson Studio is seeking a studio manager to join its team in London.

Simpson Studio is looking for a full-time studio manager to oversee the many, varied projects in its design studio and workshop in London.

The role will include:

  • ensuring the office always run smoothly and is maintained to a high standard
  • managing office facilities, equipment and supplies
  • overseeing recruitment and inductions for new staff members
  • coordinating staff performance and review
  • managing project workflow by maintaining existing systems and ensuring deadlines are met
  • organising UK and overseas travel
  • liaising with our studio accountant
  • processing payroll and invoices
  • drafting fee proposals and appointment letters
  • dealing with incoming project queries for new and existing clients
  • business development
  • managing the studios PR and social media, marketing strategy, and website
  • preparing award submissions
  • coordinating social and educational activities and our CPD programme

We are looking for someone who:

  • has at least five years’ experience in a similar role
  • is organised, pro-active and self-motivated
  • has the ability to prioritise, problem solve and act on initiative
  • excellent record keeping and communication
  • an interest in art and design
  • discretion in handling confidential information
  • is experienced and confident in liaising with clients and consultants
  • has excellent spoken and written English
  • the type of person who gets involved
  • is friendly and approachable, whilst being assertive when necessary, with the ability to make quick and timely decisions

Software skills required:

  • confident on Mac computers
  • Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • financial management using Xero and Hubdoc
