We are seeking a director of operations to join our dynamic team. The director of operations will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and efficiency of our studio. The DOO position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, streamlining processes, managing financial reporting and strategic planning, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of operational leadership.
- operational leadership: provide strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of operations, working closely with the executive team to execute the company’s vision and mission
- project management: oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of financial and firm operations projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget and meet the highest quality standards
- process improvement: continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the firm’s efficiency and effectiveness and maintain industry best practices
- team management: lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations and project management professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and growth; collaborate with firm principals and project managers to track project budgets, costs and profitability
- resource allocation: manage resource allocation, including staff, budget and tools, to support the successful execution of projects and the firm’s overall goals
- client relations: collaborate with project managers and architects to maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business
- financial oversight: monitor financial performance, control costs, and provide accurate financial forecasting and reporting to support strategic decision-making
- compliance and quality assurance: ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality assurance standards and implement measures to continually improve the quality of deliverables
- risk management: identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects, operations and contracts
- human resources: oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and other office guidelines; including coordination with external benefits providers and ensuring employees receive necessary information
- bachelor’s degree in architecture, business management or a related field preferred
- strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- proficiency in project management software and business operations tools
