Architect/architectural designer

SNHA is seeking an architect/architectural designer to join its team in London.

The architect/architectural designer will be someone who wants to further develop their technical skills in architecture, who loves learning and who can work against deadlines. You should have great communication and organisation skills. Our projects are multidisciplinary and you will have the opportunity to contact and learn from different specialties.
As an architect/architectural designer your main responsibilities will be to:
- liaise closely with senior architects and project leads in the design development of the scheme
- prepare new designs and adaptations to existing designs, drawings, specifications and schedules
- liaise with consultants and statutory authorities to establish the conceptual framework
- attend client meetings and presentations, as required
- contribute to the preparation of scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors
- contribute to finding technical solutions to problems
- support junior members of staff
- instil confidence in the team by presenting a positive approach to daily tasks and challenges
- manage time and effort ensuring the timely completion of assigned work
Experience:
- relevant experience in the architectural/construction industry (essential)
- ability to work as part of a team as well as independently (essential)
- preferably at least four years of experience (desirable)
- proven experience in RIBA stages 2, 3 and 4 (desirable)
- previous experience with complex projects like data centres, healthcare, aviation, mixed-use or multi-family residential (desirable)
- technical skills/detailing experience (desirable)
- experience coordinating complex projects in a BIM environment (desirable)
Software skills:
- working knowledge of Office 365 –Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook (essential)
- Revit/BIM 360 fundamentals (essential)
- BIM level 2 (desirable)
- graphics – Adobe Suite, Bluebeam (desirable)
- 3D visualisation (desirable)
- NBS (desirable)
- AutoCAD (desirable)
