Our projects range from revitalising parks and public spaces to large-scale neighbourhood regeneration initiatives for different clients from local authorities to developers.

We support built environment professionals to speak openly and accessibly about their ambitions and we support local communities to have a voice in the creative and decision-making process of change.
Job description
As an engagement consultant, you will play a vital role in designing and producing content and helping delivery strategies for a diverse portfolio of projects. You will have a love for cities, places and people. Using your background in architecture/planning/design/engagement and a unique blend of design, communication, and analytical skills, you will facilitate dialogue between residents, stakeholders, and project teams, ensuring that local perspectives are integrated into every stage of our project development/delivery.
This role is full-time. If you cannot commit to full-time but would like to talk to us about part-time or work over shorter periods, we’d still like to hear from you.
Key responsibilities:
- help develop and deliver community engagement plans for workshops, exhibitions, and pop-up events, using creative and experimental methods to create meaningful interactions
- design engaging graphic materials and exhibition spaces to effectively communicate project concepts and gather feedback from diverse audiences
- facilitate workshops and sessions, guide participants through collaborative exercises and ensure that their voices are heard and valued
- write engagement reports documenting community feedback, insights and recommendations for project advancement
- create compelling communications tailored to different audiences and formats, including written content, visual materials and digital platforms
- plan and coordinate events, managing suppliers and logistics to ensure smooth execution
- conduct stakeholder research and mapping exercises to identify key influencers and potential partners for engagement initiatives
- collaborate closely with internal and external project teams to integrate community input into project planning, design and implementation processes
Things we are looking for:
- someone who enjoys working with people to help create better neighbourhoods, towns and cities
- experience in community engagement for diverse audiences and formats
- excellent graphic design skills, with the ability to create visually compelling materials and environments, using tools including InDesign and Illustrator
- good people skills to effectively guide discussions and activities during engagement events
- good written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and audience-appropriate content
- creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for exploring innovative approaches to community engagement
- an ability to ‘muck in’ with the team
Salary and benefits:
- the salary range for this role is £26,000-£30,000 depending on experience
- we operate a four-day working week for all employees as standard (Monday-Thursday)
- you will be eligible for company benefits
