Spaceagency is hiring a projects manager to join its team in London.

Spaceagency is a growing, internationally-focused design-led creative agency with an expanding presence, particularly in the Middle East. Our expertise lies in how people experience spaces. We design people’s journeys through urban, cultural, sporting, event, retail and hospitality spaces. Our international client portfolio includes cities, global brands and collaborations with renowned architectural practices. Our current projects include public realm wayfinding and exhibition design.

Role

The design manager will oversee the project management of company’s portfolio of projects, ensuring efficient workflows, timely and successful project delivery, and optimal resource utilisation. Acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams, this role will support project leaders and participate in the company’s management. The design manager will also be responsible for budget tracking, client communication, and overall project administration. Please note that this is not a design role.

Location: UK-based, in-studio

Responsibilities:

• providing high-quality service and receiving positive feedback from the client
• preparing return briefs for client approval
• supporting project leaders in the administration and management of the project
• establishing project roadmaps in collaboration with the Project Leaders and monitoring progress, keeping projects on schedule
• compiling weekly/monthly project progress reports and dashboards
• arranging and chairing meetings, preparing agendas and writing minutes
• supporting with progress reporting and informing clients of any project delays
• notifying clients of service variations or advising on change orders
• ensuring the team receives necessary information from clients
• following up with clients on required information or decisions to maintain the project timeline
• managing and responding to requests for information
• supporting the project teams to assess project risks
• supporting closing out client comments on milestone submissions
• tracking project deliverables and assessing over-delivery or under-delivery
• monitoring project budget profitability (using CMAP)
• coordinating with Project Leaders on budget and time management
• conducting weekly project budget reviews and updating the teams on resourcing
• gathering and monitoring client feedback on work quality and performance

Requirements:

• bachelor’s or master’s degree in project management, architecture or a related field
• strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• excellent time management and organisational skills
• proven experience project managing – particularly masterplanning or architectural scale projects
• highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools
• knowledge of CAD and Adobe tools a plus
• ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• excellent problem-solving skills

This is a full-time position based in London. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
