Spratley & Partners is seeking a business development manager to join its team, supporting offices in both Henley-on-Thames and Bristol, UK.
Spratley & Partners is an established, medium-sized architecture practice with a growing portfolio of exciting projects in London, the South East and South West. Working with select clients across the commercial, residential, education, hospitality and public sectors Spratley & Partners has a reputation for maximising potential: of people, design, planning and return on investment and the successful candidate will demonstrate the same high standards.
We are looking for a self-motivated business development manager to support our directors and senior team with business development and building relationships. The successful candidate will have excellent business development skills, client relationship experience, the ability to create and manage new business, be creative, inquisitive, and driven, be able to work both autonomously and with our team to support the practice’s growth ambitions.
The role will involve (but not be limited to):
- understanding Spratley & Partners values and aspirations to drive new business
- managing and developing existing client relationships
- creating new opportunities through market research and analysis
- creating and attending network events
- reporting on opportunities and pipeline to the management team
- working in close partnership with, and supported by, a marketing manager
- collaborating with the wider team, assisting with copywriting, and editing of bids and submissions.
You will have:
- three plus years’ experience in a similar role in a professional practice environment in architecture, design, or construction
- a finger on the pulse on emerging trends, markets, sector opportunities and geographical niches
- excellent project management skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for detail
