Spratley & Partners is seeking a marketing and communications manager to join its team, supporting offices in both Henley-on-Thames and Bristol, UK.

Spratley & Partners is an established, medium-sized architecture practice with a growing portfolio of exciting projects in London, the South East and South West. Working with select clients across the commercial, residential, education, hospitality and public sectors, Spratley & Partners has a reputation for maximising potential: of people, design, planning and return on investment and the successful candidate will demonstrate the same high standards.

We are looking for a creative and collaborative individual to support a significant investment in brand evolution launching Summer 2023 and take overall responsibility for our marketing and communications strategy, including marketing and PR, award entries, events, and digital marketing. The successful candidate will be creative, inquisitive, and driven, be able to work autonomously and with our team to support the practice’s growth ambitions. The role involves support from, and collaboration with our design agency.

Your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • working with directors and associates on the marketing strategy, developing and implementing sector-specific marketing plans
  • creating marketing materials both digitally and in print, including bid documents, pitch materials, mailouts, ensuring brand and content consistency
  • coordinating the photography, filming, and promotion of completed projects
  • producing award submissions and press releases (in collaboration with architectural teams)
  • assisting with developing bid submissions, presentations, and digital brochures
  • organising client events and identifying conferences/industry events to attend
  • assisting with content for our website
  • driving strategy and content selection for our social media channels
  • collaborating with senior staff to deliver effective internal communications

You will have:

  • three plus years’ experience in a similar role
  • marketing degree preferred (but can be flexible)
  • interest in architecture and a finger on the pulse on emerging trends, markets, sector opportunities and geographical niches
  • proven track record in the development and implementation of marketing strategies
  • a firm grasp of digital communications via Instagram and LinkedIn
  • excellent project management skills
  • proven copywriting and proofreading ability
  • proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
