About the role:

We are seeking an experienced project manager to oversee the development, fabrication and installation of a large-scale exhibition in Shenzhen. This role requires a professional adept at coordinating complex projects within the art and design sectors, ensuring seamless collaboration among artists, investors, museums and fabricators.

Key responsibilities:

Fabrication and manufacturing Coordination:

  • identify and manage relationships with local and international fabricators and manufacturers
  • oversee material sourcing and ensure alignment with the artistic vision and technical specifications

Project management:

  • develop and maintain detailed project timelines and budgets
  • monitor progress to prevent delays and ensure milestones are achieved
  • provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Stakeholder liaison:

  • serve as the primary contact for museum partners, ensuring all exhibition requirements are met
  • facilitate effective communication between artists, investors, and museum representatives

Exhibition installation:

  • plan and supervise the on-site assembly of the exhibition
  • recruit and manage the installation team, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards

Qualifications:

  • location: Based in Shenzhen or willing to relocate
  • languages: Fluency in English and Mandarin

Experience:

  • demonstrated success in managing art or design exhibitions or similar large-scale installations
  • expertise in prototyping, fabrication, and material innovation
  • proficiency in handling project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications
