Standard8 is searching for a project manager to join its team in Brighton, UK.
Standard8 design, make and install cultural exhibitions, wayfinding systems, information graphics, bespoke furniture and sculptural pieces. We work with some of the worlds foremost photographers, design agencies, cultural centres and charities aiming to produce unique, high-quality, design lead projects that excite our audience and innovate within our marketplace.
We operate from our well-equipped workshops in Portslade, Brighton, incorporating a design studio, wood and metal workshops, a fine art digital print studio and a vinyl graphics department. Our turnkey operation has proved to be a huge asset within our client base. We are members of CHAS and Construction-Line, and are working towards our ISO 9001 accreditation.
We are looking for an experienced project manager that is proficient in the use of AutoCAD (or equivalent). You will be responsible for taking over projects from our sales team, including design development, project planning inc. scheduling, monitoring, procurement and risk management. You will liaise closely with our clients and production team to realise the brief by producing precise CAD drawings, and selecting suitable materials and production methods to produce jobs effectively, efficiently and beautifully.
Ideally, you will have experience in either exhibition production, bespoke furniture making or wayfinding and signage systems and will demonstrate an inventive design approach as well as a deep practical understanding of materials, junctions and detailing.
