Design sales and marketing associate

Stickbulb is seeking a design sales and marketing associate to join its studio in New York. 

Founded by an award-winning multidisciplinary design firm RUX, Stickbulb LLC is a rapidly expanding high-end lighting manufacturer. The company mission is to create innovation in sustainable lighting design with the use of organic and timeless materials and is dedicated to the finest quality of design and craftsmanship. We are open to applications from junior to senior level candidates with experience in design sales and business development. As this is a ‘front of house’ position, an extremely high standard of customer service is required and ability to work well within our team.

Job description and duties:

  • generate new architect, interior designer and specifier trade sales of Stickbulb designs
  • generate new custom Stickbulb concept requests and commissions assist director of sales with the development of new customers and target markets
  • propose and share new contacts and assist in the general expansion of customer database
  • assist with research and execution of marketing campaigns
  • preparation of materials for presentations and pitch meetings
  • assistance with trade fairs and design exhibitions and events
  • achieve monthly and annual sales goals targets
  • order processing and fulfilment
  • general office duties, filing, organization of office and studio, management of samples library

Successful applicants will possess some or all of the following:

  • United States and international design/art markets contacts including architect, interior designer, contract specifier, design or art collector contacts
  • exceptional customer service standards and attention to detail
  • a high degree of motivation and enthusiasm
  • flexible attitude and willingness to wear a few hats in this growing company
  • computer proficiency in Excel, Word, CRM systems
  • a passion for great design
