Studio Boum is a special events and experiences studio based in London. We produce global events and experiences within the fashion, luxury and lifestyle industries.

Our projects include designing and executing fashion shows, presentations, large scale brand events, live broadcasts, parties, stunts, pop-ups and immersive retail activations.

Role

We’re looking for a studio manager to oversee the smooth daily operations of our studio, which spans two office floors in central London, as well as our storage facility in south London. This role is crucial in supporting our creative and production teams by managing our physical spaces and ensuring seamless day-to-day functionality.

The studio manager will also help facilitate team logistics, coordinate with external suppliers and contribute to the welcoming, organised environment that our team and clients value.

Responsibilities:

  • office and space management: ensure all office spaces are organised, clean and well-prepared each day, including coordinating any needed repairs or adjustments
  • meetings and client support: assist in preparing meeting spaces, manage client lunches and arrange refreshments for in-office gatherings and meetings
  • logistics and supplies: coordinate team travel and accommodation, manage couriers, maintain office supplies and inventory and oversee online orders
  • event and social support: help organise office social events, including weekly drinks and other internal gatherings
  • supplier liaison: serve as the point of contact for office-related suppliers (e.g., cleaning services, maintenance staff, managing agents)
  • team oversight: arrive early or stay late to ensure the workspace is prepared for the following day
  • empowered to delegate organisational tasks to maintain team workspace standards

Experience

Previous studio management experience preferred, with an understanding of fast-paced, luxury environments.

Familiarity or experience within the design, architecture or luxury fashion industries would be beneficial.

  • appropriate visa and eligibility to work in the UK

Structure

The studio manager will report directly into the studio director and in-directly into the design director.

Success indicators

Operational efficiency:

  • studio spaces (offices and storage) are consistently organised, clean and well-maintained, creating an optimal working environment
  • logistics for team travel, couriers and office supplies are handled promptly, with minimal disruptions to workflow
  • meeting rooms are prepared in advance for client and internal meetings, with refreshments and supplies ready as needed.

Client experience and team support:

  • positive feedback from clients on the professionalism, atmosphere and preparation of the studio space
  • team satisfaction with day-to-day support, particularly around meeting preparation, workspace organization and logistics
  • successful coordination of office events enhancing team morale and internal culture

Supplier relationships:

  • productive relationships with external suppliers (cleaning services, maintenance teams and other suppliers), resulting in timely and efficient service
  • proactive management of supplier contracts, minimising costs and ensuring high-quality service

Responsiveness and problem-solving:

  • timely responses to any urgent studio or logistical issues, with minimal impact on team productivity
  • clear communication and proactive problem-solving, particularly during high-stakes periods such as major events or client visits

Growth and adaptability:

  • ability to streamline studio operations and improve processes, refining the role’s scope as the studio’s needs evolve
  • positive contributions toward managing the new Milan office’s setup or other locations as the role potentially expands
  • delegation and empowerment of team members to maintain workspace standards, ensuring an overall high standard of studio upkeep

Punctuality and dependability:

  • consistently the first or last person in the studio, ensuring the workspace is set up each day and all daily tasks are completed
  • effective delegation of workspace tidiness to team members where appropriate, fostering a shared responsibility for studio upkeep

Salary:

  • £35 to 45K gross per annum based on previous experience

Benefits:

  • 28 days paid holiday (including public and bank holidays)
  • days in lieu are accrued
  • holiday to be taken in non-busy periods where applicable

Reviews:

  • six month probationary period
  • quarterly personal development review with studio director
