Studio Egret West is looking for a landscape architect and urbanist to join its practice in London.
About
Studio Egret West is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice of 80 architects, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, model makers and filmmakers working on a range of mixed use, place-making projects, based in Clerkenwell, London.
We have an expanding portfolio of our projects overseas and require a landscape architect and urbanist to join our multidisciplinary team and play a pivotal role in delivering a significant mixed-use district masterplan. For this role, we are offering a fixed-term contract of 15 months, starting mid-April.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale masterplanning teams, particularly within the UK and Middle East (KSA and UAE). This role will require the coordination of architecture, landscape, urban design, and engineering teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient project delivery.
Required:
- immediately available to start
- experience in developing landscape designs in conjunction with masterplans, urban developments, or multi-disciplinary design projects
- experience delivering projects in the UK, as well as in Europe and the Middle East
- experience of producing site-specific ecology strategies, knowledge or experience of vertical landscapes, green walls and building-integrated living systems
- excellent communication and coordination skills
- advanced CAD (2D and 3D) and Adobe Suite skills
- fluency in English and relevant permit for working in the UK
- Revit knowledge would be advantageous
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- degree in landscape architecture or urban design. Preferably, on the pathway to chartership
- the ability to sketch/develop designs on paper as well as digitally, to deliver detailed designs
