Studio Manifest is seeking a qualified architect or experienced architectural technician to join its team in London.

Studio Manifest is making more energy-efficient homes at a more affordable price, by transforming the way people access architecture. We are a London-based practice, with projects across the UK. Our vision is to ensure that housing is ample, enjoyable and designed for longevity. As well as always prioritising natural, local and low-energy materials, we are constantly innovating through our own research and ongoing academic collaborations.

The role

We are looking for a qualified architect or experienced architectural technician to join our ambitious and innovative practice. As our first senior architectural hire, this person will play an integral role in scaling the studio as we enter our next phase of growth.

Working closely with the founding director, you will:

  • lead a variety of residential projects through all RIBA stages, with a particular focus on tender and construction
  • act as lead project coordinator, overseeing the rest of the team in the development of their projects
  • further develop studio documentation as we scale
  • be involved in business development, including the sales pipeline and growth, alongside innovation projects such as the development of digital technology
  • work directly with the management team to think about the future of the business
  • develop own research interests through dialogue with the practice and industry
  • have the opportunity to grow into a management role within the practice

The candidate:

  • a minimum of three years’ experience in the UK post Part 3 or equivalent
  • experience of managing tender and construction processes is essential
  • comfortable leading a team, making key decisions and mentoring junior colleagues
  • in-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and standards, particularly in respect to residential projects
  • experienced in Revit, with an interest in new technologies
  • thorough with an excellent eye for detail
  • a problem solver who is intellectually curious and willing to challenge
  • self-motivated, with a passion for efficient and sustainable design
  • happy working in a fast-paced environment
  • collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • someone who wants to have fun along the way
