Studio Olafur Eliasson is seeking an intern to join its team in Berlin.

Beginning of contract: January 2025/ July 2025 and flexible
Employment: full-time (for enrolled students)

Job description:

We are looking for students in the fields of architecture, who are interested in art production and the transformation of research into real projects. We seek highly motivated team players with a strong passion for art and architecture who are interested in spending a semester in the design department at Studio Olafur Eliasson in Berlin. We are looking for interns for a duration of about six months.

Your skills and qualities:

  • excellent design skills and sensitivity for aesthetics
  • curiosity and enthusiasm
  • interest in geometry, mathematics and physics
  • strong proficiency in Rhino 3D and Adobe Suite (please specify in CV)
  • experience in programming geometries (Grasshopper)
  • experience in digital fabrication (3D printer and CNC)
  • good English skills (German skills are helpful but not necessary)
  • ability to work independently, precisely, and elaborately
  • ability to think analytically and conceptually
  • additional knowledge of programming languages is beneficial

The studio team consists of specialised technicians, architects, artists, art historians, cooks and administrators. We work with Eliasson to experiment, develop and install artworks, projects and exhibitions as well as to communicate and contextualise his work.
