There is an opportunity for a compositing artist at sub in Berlin, Germany.

Compositing artist for architectural visualisation (freelance).

Sub is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented compositing artist to join our studio on a freelance basis. Candidates should have a strong eye for composition, lighting, and realism, with the ability to seamlessly blend architectural renderings with photography and digital painting. We expect a keen understanding of visual storytelling and digital post-production techniques.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with architects and designers to create compelling visual narratives. They should demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship and technical expertise in compositing, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Sub’s portfolio encompasses architecture, scenography, virtual environments, and entertainment. The studio has developed large-scale projects, installations, and exhibition architecture.

Responsibilities:

• create high-quality photo montages blending 3D renderings, photography and digital painting
• develop compositions that enhance design intent, mood, and storytelling
• ensure a seamless blend of lighting, perspective, and materials for realism
• collaborate with architects and designers to refine visual concepts
• manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines with precision

Qualifications:

• strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and advanced compositing techniques
• a solid understanding of lighting, color, and materials in architectural imagery
• experience in architectural visualization, concept art or related fields
• ability to interpret and enhance 3D renderings
• strong design sensibility and attention to detail
• self-motivated with excellent time management skills
• proficiency in 3D softwares a plus
• experience with using AI image creation desired
• fluent in written and spoken English
• based in Berlin (preferred)
• valid working VISA for the EU
