There are vacancies for senior architects at sub in Berlin.

Sub is looking for a highly skilled and organised senior architect to join our studio in Berlin (minimum of eight years’ professional experience).

Candidates should be eager to explore innovative design solutions and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. We expect a keen eye for composition and details as well as a deep understanding of materials and the digital landscape. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a creative, pragmatic, and iterative design process.

We expect the candidate to work autonomously on complex projects, as well as in teams. They should demonstrate an ability to mentor other architects and designers, interpret client briefs, create project timelines, review drawing sets and ensure regulatory compliance.

Sub‘s portfolio encompasses architecture, scenography, virtual environments and entertainment. The studio has developed large-scale projects, installations and exhibition architecture.

Responsibilities:

• lead and manage the entire design process for complex projects
• develop innovative design solutions and concepts that meet client requirements
• preparation and review of drawings, presentation and project documentation
• coordinate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders
• ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• mentor and supervise junior and intermediate architects

Qualifications:

• master’s degree in architecture
• eight to 12 years of professional experience in architecture
• proven track record of successful project delivery
• strong leadership and communication skills
• high proficiency working in Rhino and 3D rendering software (Vray or similar), AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite programs in particular InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
• self-motivated with a strong work ethic and able to consistently meet project and design goals
• experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
• high level of skill in design thinking and presentation
• interest in sustainable design solutions
• strong leadership and communication skills
• ability to work under stress and manage multiple deadlines
• fluent in written and spoken English
• valid working VISA for the EU
