Suna Interior Design is recruiting a show home installation operative at its office in London.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our established, creative design agency. We are looking for an installation operative to work between our warehouse and project sites. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment supporting our designers and coordinating our sub-contractors. Flexibility is a must in the fast paced world of Suna Interior Design.

Main responsibilities:

  • flexibility to work on all installations, mainly based in London and the South East
  • liaising with site managers and fulfilling all health and safety requirements
  • coordinate all subcontractors whilst on site
  • oversee entire installation process, ensuring that all deadlines are met whilst communicating fully with the team
  • work closely with operations logistics assistant
  • competent ability to build flat pack furniture
  • competent ability to install all artwork, mirrors and accessories to be fitted to walls
  • assist designers with styling on site installations
  • plan and carry out plot moves
  • assist design team during office work with fabric selections, procurement and presentation preparation
  • assist design team with site preparation, including but not limited to, framing, wrapping and pre-building furniture
  • communicate effectively with design team to ensure all projects are fulfilled to the highest standard
  • attend all health and safety meetings and inductions as required
  • attend site independently to complete all aftercare and snagging
  • responsible for documenting site work and feeding back to team
  • general maintenance of work vehicle
  • responsible for work tool kit
  • the ability to work independently and to make effective decisions in a timely manner on site
  • completing expenses and returning to finance manager

You will need to:

  • have a full, clean UK driving licence
  • CSCS card
  • have a proven track record in DIY tasks
  • confident building flat pack furniture against deadlines
  • have the ability to read furniture plans
  • proven interest in interior design
  • a proficiency in CAD is an advantage
  • represent the company professionally at all times
  • be a good communicator and have strong interpersonal skills
  • rational and logical thinking
  • efficient in time management
  • have an attention to detail
  • be a team worker
  • be results oriented
  • be confident using, Outlook, Microsoft Office
  • possess a proactive attitude
  • work effectively against tight deadlines
  • maintain confidentiality of information relating to company
