Mid-weight interior designer
at The Hickson Design Partnership

THDP is seeking a mid-weight interior designer to join its team in London.

Hospitality projects (London studio)
Location: London, UK (You must have the right to work in the UK)

We are THDP, an international interior design and architecture studio with offices in London, Milan and Turin.  Specialising in high-end hospitality design, we work throughout the UK and Europe with major hotel brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Accor, IHG, Marriott, and independent owners/operators/investors.

Following the success of several recent projects, we are expanding our London team. We are looking for a talented mid-weight interior designer or architect to join us in creating exceptional spaces for four- and five-star hotels and restaurants.

About you

You are an experienced interior designer or architect with 4–5 years of relevant experience in hospitality interior design, and you’re now looking to grow your skills within a creative, collaborative, and ambitious studio environment.

You have worked on projects from concept through to completion, and you’re passionate about delivering high-quality design, compelling visuals, and detailed FF&E documentation. You are a strong team player, confident in taking on challenging briefs and contributing to every stage of a project. You’re comfortable collaborating with Senior and Junior Designers, and you thrive on producing thoughtful, imaginative, and well-executed hospitality interiors.

Key skills and experience:

  • strong creative flair and the ability to work within a team to produce compelling design presentations and visuals
  • real flair with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign essential)
  • detailed understanding of FF&E specification, production of control books for; FF&E, lighting, sanitaryware, and finishes
  • excellent at producing detailed drawings and FF&E design intent drawings in  AutoCAD and ideally Revit
  • excellent knowledge of FF&E selection, materials, and finishes for high-end hospitality
  • confident in preparing and managing sample boards and specification packages
  • strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and project workflow
  • detailed knowledge of FF&E suppliers for contract FF&E and with working and managing contractors
  • meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving attitude
  • Italian native speakers preferred (not essential)

Your role:

  • work on international hospitality projects under the supervision of senior designers and creative directors
  • take briefings directly and work collaboratively on large hotel and F&B schemes
  • assist in the development of concept designs, from visualisation through to detailed design
  • prepare FF&E specifications, sample and mood boards, and full control books
  • take ownership of your packages and contribute to the team’s creative output
  • ensure consistency, accuracy, and a high standard of documentation
