Procurement manager 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented procurement manager to join our team.

As the procurement manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for furniture, fixtures, finishes and equipment (FFF&E) and operating supplies and equipment (OS&E) for our company’s projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, architects, project managers and vendors, to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of FFF&E and OS&E while maintaining high quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting the right suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing budgets and delivering exceptional procurement solutions that meet the company’s requirements.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, interior design or a related field
  • a master’s degree or relevant professional certifications is a plus
  • proven experience as a procurement manager or similar role, with a focus on FFF&E and OS&E
  • procurement for construction, hospitality is required
  • in-depth knowledge of FFF&E and OS&E procurement processes, best practices and industry standards
  • strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to achieve favourable terms and conditions with suppliers
  • excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • the focus on sustainability in procurement practices is an essential requirement for this role, reflecting the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices – the procurement manager will play a pivotal role in integrating sustainability considerations into the FFF&E and OS&E procurement process, ensuring the selection of suppliers and products that align with the company’s sustainability goals
  • proficiency in using procurement software and tools, and familiarity with FFF&E and OS&E specification and procurement platforms
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and recommend innovative procurement solutions
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers and project teams
  • must be conscientious, committed, possess a positive attitude that is exhibited in a great work ethic, be a clear leader who attracts followers from across functions and is delivery driven
  • must be able to demonstrate an ability to lead contractors and consultants rather than be dependent on them
  • detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy and attention to detail
  • leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing procurement team
  • strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to conducting business in a fair, transparent and compliant manner
