Showroom manager
at Timorous Beasties
Timorous Beasties is seeking a showroom manager to join its team in London.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual, who will be instrumental in making sure we provide an exceptional service to customers within the Timorous Beasties London showroom. The successful candidate will join a small and supportive team and will manage and maintain the showroom, respond to both in-showroom and remote enquiries ensuring clients experience the utmost professional attention and support.
Location: 44-46 Amwell Street, London, EC1R 1XS
Full-time: Monday – Friday: 10:00-17:00. Occasional additional days may be required to cover part time staff annual leave/sickness, out of hours events within the showroom or at trade events
Key role and responsibilities:
- day to day running and maintenance of the showroom.
- ensure product and window displays are up to date and reflect TB brand standard.
- managing sales from product presentation through to ordering, follow up and client support – to include design consultancy service to key clients using InDesign and SketchUp programmes
- management of showroom sampling and collection book libraries
- ensure stock levels are up to date and that new collections are available to view within the showroom from launch date.
- arrange client showroom launches of new collections/products.
- manage general showroom administration to include utilities and maintenance bills
- work closely with A&D project manager to support London and southern territory sales
- support and maintain relationships with key London TB stockists; Liberty, Harrods etc
- management and support of showroom assistant
Requirements and qualities:
- two plus years’ experience, working at management level in a retail or showroom environment
- a natural salesperson providing an exemplary level of customer service
- knowledge and flair for interiors and design
- have fantastic personal skills to communicate professionally and confidently with clients in the showroom, and by phone and by email
- highly organised, self-motivated and have a high level of initiative with excellent attention to detail
- a good team player, willing to muck in and get your hands dirty
- strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- to be a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for Timorous Beasties London
