Tom Turner Architects is hiring a Part 2 architectural assistant or a recently qualified architect to join its team in Brighton, UK.
Our work seeks to harness the poetic potential of regional architecture to create new works of cultural value.
Based in beautiful parkland in the South Downs, a stone’s throw from Brighton, we are inspired by the regional vernacular buildings that surround us.
We use our knowledge of traditional buildings as the starting point to find a new regional architecture that is both culturally and environmentally sustainable.
The role:
- we are looking for a talented Part 2 or recently qualified architect to join our team
Profile:
- interest in regional rural architecture
- appreciation of both traditional and contemporary buildings
- positive energy
- well organised
Experience:
- working with historic buildings and conservation
- working on all stages of private residential projects of a value of £500k to £3m
- knowledge of both traditional and contemporary construction
Requirements:
- excellent design ability
- good communication and presentation skills
- good time management
- full UK driving licence and access to a car
- you must be based in and eligible to work in the UK
Preferable:
- proficiency in Vectorworks 2D and 3D
