Tom Turner Architects is seeking a senior interior designer to join its team in Brighton, UK.
Hours: Full time/40 hours per week. Part time or flexible working will be considered depending on personal circumstances.
Workplace: Our offices are in the beautiful Grade I Listed Stanmer House (BN1 9QA), near Brighton. Up to two remote working days/ week may be possible.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Dependent on experience.

Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented interior designer with a love of the English House to lead our interiors team. We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer with a proven track record of delivering high end country house projects.
Our current projects are divided between designing interiors in-house, and collaborating with a number of industry leading interior design studios. The right candidate will be open to collaboration, and will also have the confidence and ability to take the lead.
There is fantastic opportunity for growth in this role as our interior design offer expands over time.
Required skills:
- at least seven years of post-degree experience in high-end residential projects
- degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- deep empathy with and an intuitive understanding of our client’s needs
- an outstanding sense of composition and harmony in design
- excellent social and communication skills
- excellent knowledge of FF&E products and suppliers
- ability to conduct independent visits to rural sites
- confidently present work to colleagues, clients and professional teams
- proficiency in Vectorworks and Adobe InDesign preferable
- manage project timelines and budgets efficiently
- ability to resolve technical challenges
- represent the practice professionally and uphold our values and high standards
- conservation and listed building experience preferable
- fluent in spoken and written English
- have the right to work in the UK
