Trevor Lahiff Architects is hiring an architectural technician/freelancer to join its team in London.

About us

Trevor Lahiff Architects is a small, busy, creative RIBA chartered multidisciplinary design practice with a varied portfolio of high-end residential projects in both architecture and interior design in London, the UK and abroad.

About the role

We currently have a vacancy for a freelance, AutoCAD technician to assist the partners delivering a range of projects, from concept to the production of detailed design information.

We are looking for someone who:

• is proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp with good design & technical capabilities
• has a minimum of three years’ experience in high-end residential projects, working in the UK
• has good verbal and written communication skills in English
• has comprehensive knowledge and enthusiasm for both contemporary and classical detailing
• can prepare drawing packages for planning through to tender and construction stages, often involving listed historic buildings
• has some knowledge of UK building legislation, relevant design guides and standards
• has the ability to work in a project environment, creating schedules and details
• can manage multiple tasks and is happy to work in the studio and from home

Potential candidates should have a positive attitude, be well organised and able to manage deadlines and workloads efficiently.

As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with our company partners at our studio.

The position is offered on a part-time/self-employed basis.

Interviews will take place after 10 March 2025, with a view to starting as soon as possible.

In return you will receive a competitive hourly /day rate based on previous experience.
