Part 2 architectural assistant
at Tuckey Design Studio
Tuckey Design Studio is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
We are looking for experienced, proactive and ambitious designers who are passionate about working with existing buildings and who are interested in contributing to the future of the practice. Tuckey Design Studio works on a variety of existing and new buildings and in a variety of mediums.
Candidates will have at least one year post-Part 2 experience.
We seek applicants with the following qualifications, qualities and experience:
- one to two years’ relevant experience in a similar role
- work experience through all stages, from planning and tender to completion is helpful
- excellent design and presentation skills, including hand drawing
- experience on technical drawings, specifications and schedules
- experience assisting and running projects of different scales
- building site experience is helpful but not essential
- knowledge in Vectorworks (2D and 3d) is preferable but not essential
- experience using Adobe Suite, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- attention to detail
- initiative, resourcefulness and proactivity in approach to daily tasks whilst working within the agreed procedures and given timings
- strong organisational skills
- a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- able to assist in following and maintaining the company’s quality management system
- good communication skills
- ability to work well as part of a team and independently as required
- fluent Italian, German or Swiss German is advantageous
- additional languages welcome (currently we have fluent Italian, French, Portuguese, Hindi-Urdu and Farsi speakers in the studio)
