Turley is looking for townscape professionals to join its team in London or Manchester.
Due to the recent successful growth of our townscape services, we have several new positions in our national heritage and townscape team. These positions will form part of our specialist service in heritage, townscape, landscape and visual assessment based in our London and/or Manchester office. These positions offer the opportunity to develop and further your career in a dynamic and vibrant consultancy practice that also includes planning, economics, design, strategic communications and sustainability services.
We are considering applicants at a variety of levels and stages in their career from consultant level (minimum of two years’ professional experience) through to associate director/director level. All candidates should have a BA or postgraduate qualification in urban design, architecture or another relevant discipline. Recognised UDG practitioner status would be useful but is not essential.
Candidates should have skills in townscape analysis and assessment to support the planning and development process and should have a detailed understanding of the built environment and design process. You should be experienced in assessment work, including application of the GLVIA methodology, and have a strong interest in urban design and townscape issues. More experienced candidates will also be experienced in work-winning, building sound client relationships and managing a range of projects. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ideally basic knowledge of using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and busy team, delivering high profile work from our London or Manchester office for private and public sector clients.
We offer great career opportunities and comprehensive support for your professional development. We provide excellent remuneration and a flexible benefits package including a non-contributory pension, ownership dividend, travel allowance and performance-related bonus.
This is a full-time post, however applicants wishing to work part-time will also be considered.
