Project architect
at WGP Architects
WGP Architects is hiring a project architect to join its team in London.
At WGP we believe in an optimised architecture: utilising less resources to create maximum spatial experience, delivering innovative buildings that are sustainable across the widest possible spectrum. This enthusiasm for optimisation is what drives and inspires us – if it motivates you too then read on.
We are expanding our vibrant team in Shepherd’s Bush. We are a sociable office with a strong team approach and a focus on collaborative in-person working, whilst supporting flexibility to balance work and life.
Project architect with five years plus’ previous experience working on medium-sized buildings preferred.
In this role you will be the centre for all project information essential to the delivery of our architecture, often client facing as a result of having that unique understanding of the project constraints and opportunities. Regulatory compliance and technical delivery are aspects you will need to be highly familiar with, as well as a hands-on approach to problem solving.
Experience in delivering, across all RIBA work stages, is essential. Less critical, but still highly beneficial is experience in multi-unit residential schemes including high rise/HRBs.
It is expected you will be fully conversant in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite, with skills in Rhino and Microstation beneficial.
Previous experience should be grounded in production of information, that informs a strong understanding of delivery and the knowledge needed to plan and manage production by others.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English – particularly accurate and clear written English – are essential, alongside flexibility and agility within role and across projects seen as highly valued attributes.
We believe that every employee offers something that is unique to them and is worth celebrating, respecting and nurturing. The more varied our team, the more depth we can draw upon in finding the right solutions to our projects. We offer an open, supportive and inclusive setting for our diverse 20-strong team, where opportunity to expand & grow across roles are offered.
To apply, please email your CV and portfolio (max file size 5mb) along with a short written statement of no more than 250 words, describing what you could bring to the role and how you see this within the context of WGP’s approach – please clearly state the role you are applying for in the subject title and submit no later than Thursday 14 November via the apply for job button below.
